Was I going to use the bathroom?

No.

Was I slowly developing social anxiety?

Definitely yes.

I just wanted to be alone, and the only place was the bathroom.

Stupid me—I didn’t even realize that I could get lost in the airport because I didn’t know my way to the bathroom.

“Do you know the way to the bathroom?”

I nodded negatively, very ashamed that I hadn’t thought it through.

Two seconds later, Richard was walking me to the bathroom.

He has such a nice personality, and he is very fun to be with.

He is also quite considerate.

I guessed he noticed that I wasn’t ready to talk verbally, so he resorted to writing on paper.

“Are you by any chance the man I was committed to?” I took the courage to ask that question because I was very curious.

“Do you remember him?” he asked.

I gave the most basic and lamest excuse because, again, I hadn’t thought it through.
