Jesse

The funeral sucked. Everything sucked. It was full of friends and colleagues and all kinds of people Garrey had been connected to.

Jesse hated being here. He hated himself for hating it too. At the end of the service, Killian walked over to him.

“How are you?”

he asked and Jesse nodded. “Fine. He was closer to you. I should ask how you are.”

Killian smiled.

“Death is part of life.”

“Yeah.”

Killian and his “I’m never showing how I feel” thing...

“Listen, Jesse,” Killian began, “I want to talk to you. Not now, of course, but whenever you get the chance, okay?”

“Of course, sure.” Jesse said.

“Thank you.”

“Always.”

Recently he and Killian had started spending more time together and Jesse assumed Killian had
