Chapter 100
“What do you mean who is this?” Vera snatched the picture from Madison.
“You shouldn’t go about in people’s houses touching whatever you see,” Vera accompanied the snatching of the picture with these words.
“Just tell me who that is, please.” Madison’s eyes were teary, but what for?
“What’s your problem, Maddie?” Vera placed the picture in its rightful place.
It was a picture of three girls, one of them looked very familiar to Madison.
“I want to know who they are,” Madison said to Vera.
Vera was confused and scared at the same time. The images in the picture were that of herself, Lila and her oldest sister who went missing during a stampede many years ago in Chicago, where they first lived.
Vera feared that Madison recognized Lila from the picture.
“That’s me and my sisters,” Madison was told.
