Chapter 105

“What?” Nathan asked.

He was bewildered and shocked as well. “What do you mean by the cause of my wife’s accident?” Nathan asked again, in length.

“Your wife’s car lost control as a result of brake failure,” Detective Conan began his explanation.

“After proper investigation we were able to discover that the brakes were tampered with,” Detective Conan said in completion.

“You mean somebody had tried to kill my wife?” Nathan asked, trying to find out if he was on the same page with the detective.

“Yes,” the detective answered him.

It was shocking and at the same time, frightening. Nathan was trying to guess why anyone would want Madison dead. She had no enemies nor did she make any trouble.

“Do you have a lead on who it might be?” Nathan asked the detective.

“None, that’s why I’m here to see you.”
