Chapter 74. The End of a Love Story
Rachel and Luther were far away from each other after the secret conversation. The banquet was a form of bond between the family, but the centers of the party were separated from each other. Rachel sat down in one of the tables, drinking her champagne, occasionally smiles at the passerby.
She seemed distress, but it wasn't. She was waiting for Luther to announce the end of the party.
If he does that, it means, it's also the end of their story. The Love Story that took ages to happen and reach marriage, but went downhill. It hit the rock bottom, and there was no way it can be revived.
Rachel was stitching the scenes from waking up drowning in the lake back in her tertiary education to the wars the originated with territorial claims. It brought wars to surface on the field, and there would be a disputable claims of killing innocent people when all they did is protect the land.
