Chapter 116

Cage finally came out of his house, holding a flower bouquet. He entered the car, breathing heavily, only to meet her cold stare.

“What were you doing in there?” She fired.

“Just look at the time, our day of fun has been cut short.” She added and he gave her an apologetic look.

“I'm sorry Mira, I had to look my best.” Cage answered, adjusting his shirt. Mira admired him before she burst out laughing.

“And who said you had to dress to impress me?” She questioned.

“Well I have to meet up with your standards since I don't know where you're taking me to. I don't want to embarrass you in front of your rich friends.” Cage explained, checking himself out. He desperately wanted to impress Mira and her friends.

“And who said we were going to hang out with my friends? As a matter of fact, I don't have any friends.” Mira told him and he smiled.

“Then where are we going to?” 

“To a quiet place where we can talk, just the two of us.” She answe
