All through the drive, Cage and Mira didn't say a word to each other. Cage was waiting for her to say something and Mira knew this so she remained quiet. Cage couldn't even stand the thought of her being with another man, the reason was clear.

He never thought he would fall in love with anyone else after his divorce but he did and now he's losing her too? He blamed himself for not trying to defend their relationship in front of her father, who knows? He might have permitted them to be together.

He started to think about the amount of progress he had made since he ended his relationship with Mira. Definitely, the distance between them helped to push him to greater heights. It gained him two promotions and gave him room to take his education more seriously. These were all the reasons why Cage thought that staying away from Mira was the best thing to do.
