Chapter 144

She picked out a simple black dress that she would wear that day and then put the others in the proper place. When she was done, she went to take her bath and get dressed. By the time she finished getting ready, it was five minutes to eleven. 

Cage arrived just in time and met her waiting for him in the living room. He admired her for a while before walking up to her.

“Hey.” 

“Oh good, you're here. Let's get going. I've already called my designer and she's waiting for us to arrive so let's not keep her waiting.” Mira explained, grabbed her purse and lead the way out, swaying her hips on purpose, knowing that Cage's eyes were on her bum.

“Here are the keys, you're driving.” She handed him the car keys as soon as they were outside and entered the passenger seat. Cage went around to get into the driver's seat and then they drove off.

They drove quietly without saying a word to each other. The silence was broken when Mira's phone started to ring.
