Chapter 66

“Look, it's almost eight, you should get ready and I'll start going back to my house. I have some urgent things to take care of.” She actually had nothing to do, infact, she had the day off because she wasn't feeling too well.

“That's sad, I really thought I would see you when you when I get back.” Lucas pouted. Lucy smiled and went to peck his cheek even though it made her feel terrible.

“I'll still come by some other time.” She told him and started to pack the few things she came with into her purse in a hurry.

Lucas started getting ready for work too but when he came downstairs to see Lucy, he discovered that she was gone. He looked outside the window and her car was gone too, he shook his head and left for work.

Lucy got home and met her parents in the living room. She was surprised to see her father, she wasn't expecting him to come back home anytime soon.
