Chapter 65

Lucas sighed when his attempts to wake her failed and decided to let her be. He turned to the other side of the bed and forced himself to sleep. Lucy was relieved that he didn't try to force himself on her, at least she had escaped his clutches for that night.

Early the next morning, Lucy woke up and started making breakfast for Lucas. This was because he mentioned to the the previous day that he was going to leave early for work. She seized the opportunity to try and prove to him that she cared about him and was into him.

The sweet aroma of waffles woke Lucas from sleep. He quickly washed his face and rushed downstairs to get a taste. He met Lucy in the kitchen, dishing the waffles onto a plate and moving slowly to a song that she was humming.

“Oh.. good morning dear.” She beamed as soon as she saw him standing by the kitchen door.

“Good morning. You're up early.” He pointed out, moving closer to her and placing a kiss on her cheek. Lucy shuddered at the ges
