Chapter 69
She didn't want to raise a child and deprive the child of his father's love.
She was still thinking when the doorbell rang. Wondering who it was, she stood up to answer it.
“Lucy, are you okay?” He looked worried.
Lucy couldn't believe that he was standing in front of her.
“Cage?”
Lucy stared at Cage as tears started to gather in her eyes. She fought them back and invited him into the house.
“Lucy, you didn't answer me. Are you okay?” He asked again, standing in front of her and placing his hands on her shoulder. Lucy nodded slowly, but the expression on her face proved the opposite.
She obviously wasn't fine and it wasn't due to any physical injuries like Cage initially thought.
“Did Lucas hurt you? Where?” He turned her around to search for injuries but found none. The way he was so worried about her proved to Lucy that he still had feelings for her and that pushed her urge to cry.
