Jessa’s POV

I open his door slowly and walk across the floor. The creaks beneath the carpet give away my presence, and I can only hope that my scent gets to him before I do.

I enter the bathroom to find that he’s still sitting on the floor where I left him. Kneeling down in front of him, he struggles to look at me.

“Cole,” I whisper. “Let’s get you off this floor. Alpha’s going to come back in a few minutes. I’ll get him to show us where the thermostat for this room is. It’s a little cold for you right now.”
