Chapter 40. The Confession
“So… what’s your plan now?” Sandra raised an eyebrow as she asked Savannah while they were on a video call with Shirley.
“I don’t know,” Savannah sighed. The stress of the situation was evident on her face—her forehead was furrowed, she bit her lip, and her eyes were filled with barely-contained tears. “How am I supposed to confess at this point? Kiara already took the lead, and it seems like even if I don’t admit it, our friendship with Trevor is over. What chance do I have against a girlfriend who’s a soon-to-be fiancée, right?”
“I still say you should confess. Maybe… even just through chat?” Shirley offered her opinion. “You said yourself, Kiara beat you to it… so confirm it with Trev that it’s true.”
