Chapter 121

“Oh, look, she is waking up,” I hear someone say as my eyes flutter open. It takes some time for my vision to clear and I have a direct view of the ceilings for I am lying on the bed. When I look to my right, I see someone that I recognize instantly, it’s Cara.

“What are you doing here?” I manage to say, but my voice comes out not too clear and vivid.

“Excuse me?” She beckons me to speak again and I do, but this time I clear my throat before I do.

“What are you doing here?” I ask her once more and she smiles softly. She is wearing dark purple skinny jeans and a really cute black tank top that is covered with an unbuttoned gray cardigan.

“Oh, I came to see you once I heard that you were not well,” She informs me and gives me a sympathetic smile.

“I called Chad to tell him about Henry and that is when he told me about your situation here,” She continues.

“I am so sorry,” She tells me, and I give a small nod.
