Chapter 21

The text reads: HEY, HOW ARE YOU?

I smile warmly. I have not heard from Jason since the beach day. I will text him later, after my meet-up with the devil. Lizzie, that is.

In no time, I was on the street where Lizzie told me her house was.

I walk to the huge house. The lawn is perfect, the windows are gigantic. The house is extremely modern. A little rectangular tag is near the door and it says: 666.

I take in a breath to steady my nerves. I press the doorbell and it makes a buzzing noise.

The door opens right away and I’m welcomed with an incredible sight. The house basically looks like a five-star hotel.

Damn. Lizzie is loaded.

“Hello, sweetheart.” I hear a familiar voice and I turn to the direction it came from.

I see a beautiful girl my age. She is breathtaking. She’s wearing a baggy sweatshirt and sweatpants. Tie-dye, to be specific.

Wow, I can’t take my eyes off her.

She’s walking my way with headphones on
