Chapter 13
Elysa’s hands shook as she threw her phone on her bed. Aldric was ignoring her again. She wanted to believe they had gone past that stage and were getting closer. But after the disappearance of her mother, she had barely seen him.
During the ball, she had caught a glimpse of him at the entrance before she could rush there; he was nowhere to be found. Like he had never been there. Just like her mother, nobody seemed to be talking about the fact she was no longer there with them, and it was like she never existed.
Fine, if Aldric didn’t come to her, she would go to him.
His home was not difficult to locate. As she approached the door, her fingers hovered. Would he turn her away?
