Chapter 116
Third Person's POV
When Bea's parents arrived that evening, they found her still fast asleep. Beside her were the boys and Kate, who had graciously stayed by her side while Jane goes back to look after her father.
Bea's worried mother approached Kate for an update since she is the only one who is awake. “How is she, Kate?”
Kate offered her some reassuring words. “She is alright now, Auntie. Bea had experienced an episode earlier, but the doctors had administered the necessary medications and now she just needed rest.”
As Bea's father approached her and began to gently stroke her hair, her eyes fluttered open. Startled by the presence of her parents, tears welled up in Bea's eyes and cascaded down her cheeks. "Mom? Dad?" she whispered, her voice filled with both relief and exhaustion. "I don't want to go through this anymore... I'm so tired."
