Angelica’s POV
“I want to come, too,” I said to Dylan and Ericson, who came inside the house momentarily to ensure I was safe and that all the doors and windows were locked.
I could see things were serious.
When they left, I peeked outside the house and noticed men coming out of their homes, telling their wives to lock the doors and keep the children safe.
“You are not coming anywhere near that fight, baby. We can handle this. We deal with these wild wolves all the time. You need to stay inside this house. Don’t open the door even if someone calls your name and asks you to.” Ericson held my shoulders.
I know he was looking for confirmation from my side. A confirmation that I was going to do exactly what they told me. However, I didn’t want to.
This was something that happened because of me. I wasn’t a professional fighter, but it was only right for me to defend and protect what belonged to me.
