Kaytly finished her bath and came out deliberately wearing a high-necked knitted sweater. She saw Adam sitting on the bed, watching her with a mixture of concern and unclear emotions, exuding a dangerous aura.
She smiled reassuringly and walked towards him, “Adam, haven’t you had dinner yet? How about we go out for a meal tonight?”
Adam stared fixedly at the graceful figure before him, his anger simmering beneath a calm surface. “You had a date today, and he didn’t invite you for dinner? Or were you both too busy to eat?” He seemed composed, but beneath that facade, his anger was boiling.
The phrase “date today” made Kaytly feel her heart skip a beat, wondering if she was being overly suspicious. However, she couldn’t ignore her unease after hearing those words.
“Adam, what’s wrong with you? Didn’t you ask me to be back home before seven? Isn’t it normal for me to skip dinner?” Kaytly tried to hide her feelings, but her heart couldn’t stay calm.
