Edward left the house and drove along the road at over 120. His heart was regretful, wishing he could fly to Xavia’s side.
He found the place pitch black when he arrived at the single-room rental. Edward switched on the lights and carefully searched each room, confirming that Xavia wasn’t home. He then took out his mobile phone, only to find that her number was still switched off.
