Josh looked down with a smile as he saw Calvin kiss Rain on the stage. He wasn't happy about it but he wished everything would work out for the omega.

His feelings don't matter.

It's Rain's life.

He can't keep them away.

That would be dangerous.

The beta turned around to see Evelyn looking at him with a small smile.

"Where are you going? You haven't had dinner yet," She asked and Josh shook his head.

"I'm okay, luna. I'm not hungry. I was just going for a walk," He tried to smile but failed miserably.

"Are you okay?" Evelyn's smile disappeared.

"I'm fine, luna. I'll be back in a few minutes," He replied before walking away with a small smile.

Josh couldn't deny it.

His heart was heavy.

Like a stone was tied down to it.
