Chapter 25

I followed the vampire down the stairs of the palace, dressed in the same sheer gown and covered in his white slimy discharge.

Gods.

I felt disgraced, coated with something that will make anyone who sees me know what we have been up to up there.

If only I did as was instructed earlier, nothing of this sort would have happened.

“Be swift.” The sharp voice of the vampire caused me to hasten down the stairs at a brisk pace.

He was five steps ahead of me initially, but I covered it, so he was only two steps away.

I had my head bowed as he ordered me to do.

There were many things he asked me to do, which I was slowly reciting.

At the end of the stairs, the vampire started heading for a door I’ve not seen before.

It was as if all the time I tried to escape him, my eyes didn’t take stock of the surrounding things.
