I ignored the whispers totally, just focused on the guys.

“When can you guys come again?” I asked softly. God, I felt… needy and clingy. But these past months with them have been a dream. I finally knew what it felt like to have people who cared for me. And I never realized till now that I’ve been screaming to be cared for.

Axel reached out, cupping my face. “As soon as we can,” he whispered, leaning down and kissing my cheek.

He pulled away, entering the car. Kade stepped forward, kissing the top of my hair before he entered the car. “Take care.”

I moved to the driver’s seat, and since the window was rolled down, I just leaned in and kissed Kross’s cheek. His eyes widened slightly, but he gave me a small smile.

“Goodbye, Rose,” he said softly, rolling the window and driving away.
