While they left to catch the said nurse, I walked to the room in anxiety.

What if I heard wrong?

What if that wasn’t Eve?

All kinds of thoughts ran through my mind but I still mustered courage to walk to the room.

The moment I opened the door and saw her looking at me with a pained expression on her face, I knew something was wrong.

“Eve?” I called out but she was already closing her eyes.

“Eve!” I yelled running to the bed and pressing the button to call the doctor.

In a few seconds, the doctor ran to the room and gave her a shot of something else which kept her stable.

“What’s going on doctor?” I asked in concern.

“She is lucky, if you had called me a little late, she might have lost the baby or even her life.” The doctor said, sighing heavily.

“So is she… is s-she back in a coma?” I asked carefully.

“No, not at all, she’s not in a coma, she’s just unconscious due to the shot I gave her.” The doct
