Chapter 19

Blake’s expression was epic when she refused to let him do what he said. He even got angrier when she told him that if he insisted she would back out of their agreement. He then cursed furiously and put on his shirt then slammed the door after him. She smiled triumphantly when he was gone. She was lucky that she won the round last night. She used the stairs that morning because she didn’t want to meet him in the lift. She already felt suffocated. He wasn’t her boyfriend but he seemed to be present wherever she was.

Vanessa was sitting on Carla’s chair when she arrived at the shop. The other woman was glowering at her but she tried to ignore her and just went straight to her table to get ready for work.

“I am going to be your boss today since mom is not coming. I want you to make some patterns for women’s tops. Pick up all the materials we need. The company’s car is not at your disposal so take public transportation instead.&rdq
