Chapter 68

Blake knitted his brows. His woman was about to say something when they heard a knock. The middle-aged female nurse came in with another male nurse who was pushing a wheelchair.

“Mr. Acosta, it’s time for your X-ray,” the female nurse said.

“We’ll talk later, sweetheart,” Blake told her.

She just nodded. Though they were not alone, he motioned for her to come near him for a quick kiss on the lips. The female nurse cleared her throat. Blake flashed out his smile at her before telling the nurse that he was ready.

“I don’t need a wheelchair. I can walk,” he told the two nurses with a smile but his smile disappeared when he noticed that the male nurse was looking at her.

“Please sit on the wheelchair sir. We don’t want to be reprimanded. It’s the doctor’s order,” the female nurse said but in a much friendlier tone.

Heather almost rolled her eyes.
