Chapter 45. New Home
The dungeon was already a very dark silent home of shadows as she turned.
Gone were the weeping, the pleading of water to cool their dry lips, the consecutive grumbling of empty stomachs.
Her fellow Slaves and Omegas have already been released one by one as soon as sunlight kissed the ivory gates of the underground prison.
She was the last to be released, of course. Being the last Slave imprisoned in the farthest room away from the Slaves and Omegas behind bars obviously made her the least lucky. She has to inhale every scent—every vomit and damp cold air as she walks those now-empty cells, as well as the scent of the lingering piss and shit.
All of it. She has to digest and stomach and suffer all of it.
The sun was already high as soon as she stepped out. The dungeon closing, the ivory gates shutting behind her. Only the reverberating silence, the chirping of birds and rustling of trees now lay before her.
