Chapter 132. The Alpha's Patient
The door burst open with a bang, and I kept my eyes fixed, aware that the Alpha was entering a rage.
“Why aren't you eating?” he growled impatiently. “How do you expect to recover without nourishment?”
“I can't eat knowing that my nephew is being manipulated by the dark witch,” I whispered without looking in his direction.
“And licking your wounds and becoming weak will result in what?” The Alpha roared arrogantly, making me stare at him. “Weakness won't bring him back; we need you to be strong to rescue him!”
“I thought you were a powerful Alpha; how can you let him be taken?” I growled in his direction.
Harvey approached, and despite the attack coming from his beast and not him, both my wolf and I were still frightened. He stopped, sniffing in our direction, picked up the plate of food, dragged the chair closer to the bed, and kept his eyes on mine as he brought the spoonful of soup to my lips without asking for permission.
