“I don't understand, we always had a good relationship... Agatha wasn't like this, why is everything around me falling apart like this?” I sighed, trying to swallow the lump in my throat. However, the tears that were on the verge of my eyes were persistent and overflowing, washing my face.
“I'll give you some space,” Elara said, bowing and leaving the room.
“Don't cry, human,” Harvey murmured, holding my face between his hands and wiping away the tears with his thumb. “No one deserves your tears.”
“It seems like everyone I love tends to hurt me,” I whispered, pulling the blanket up to eye level.
“Hunf. Your heart is too genuine, Hybrid,” the Alpha growled softly, slipping under the covers and moving up my body until he stopped near my lips. “Only Conan deserves your love.”
Harvey's warm breath caressed my skin; his eyes sparkled with indecipherable feelings; there was something more behind his words that I didn't understand.
