Sophie shifted her hips closer, pressing our bodies together. The once-cold skin now radiated a shared warmth, revealing its sweetness even after facing numerous challenges.

“Harvey,” she whispered, biting her lower lip.

“Sophie?” I smiled, gently releasing her mouth as my thumb caressed it.

“I need…” Sophie, with slightly flushed cheeks, boldly slid her hands across my bare chest, down to my stomach. Smiling, I sighed as she moved her hands up to my shoulders, standing on her tiptoes and wrapping her arms around my neck. “I need to feel something beyond the pain.”

Grazing my teeth on her soft, plump lips, I suppressed a growl as I sensed the scent of Sophie's hormones filling the air. Her proximity instantly excited me.

“Hybrid, you still need to recover!” I shook my head, leaving her lips and moving to her cheek, then her neck, where I placed small bites. Every inch of that skin felt like it belonged to me. “I don't want to hurt you.”
