Roul POV

I open my eyes, and I can tell the exact moment that she realizes that there’s been a switch. She steps back in a bit of a panic. I reach forward, quickly and pull her forward by her hips. There’s no way that I’m letting her get away from me.

There’s a bit of fear in the air, but it’s unnecessary. “Hello, little wolf. I’m so glad to finally have you in my arms.” I pull her against me as I talk, making sure to press her body against mine. Just the feel of her is enough to send me into a tailspin. I feel Atlas trying to push through, but I double down on the block I have between us.

“Don’t hurt her, Roul.” I let my eyes travel to where Apollo is standing. I cut my eyes at him, but quickly put them back on her. He knows I could never hurt her, so I’m not sure why he felt the need to say something.
