Chapter 23

That’s a valid question, but one I’d rather not consider. I guess I don’t really want to make any choices right now. I’m still trying to wrap my mind around everything that I found out.

Why did Ares lie to me about who he was? Why did he keep the fact that he’s one-third of triplets to himself? What did he hope to gain?

I let my body relax and lean back against the pillows. Esme is looking at me as if she can extract the answer with just her eyes. I really don’t know what the right choice is. I could stay here and get ot know Apollo and Atlas. Ares will eventually come back, and it would be a major confrontation, or I could go home with Esme and wait for him to show up and confront him then. I’m not sure that a one-on-one confrontation would be the best idea.
