Akia POV

We sit across from each other at the back of a coffee shop. I have an iced latte, and Atlas has a black coffee. We have different pastries in front of us, and I’ve been nibbling. I have to admit that I didn’t expect our date to end up here. “I… I’m sorry.” I look up at Atlas, wondering what the problem is. “I didn’t know what to plan for us. I’ve never done this before, and I’m still getting to know you.” I sit back in my chair and smile.

“This is perfect for a first date. It gives us the opportunity to get to know each other without the interruptions.” Atlas nods, but he seems very unsure. “Tell me something about yourself that no one else knows.” Atlas looks around us as if he’s looking for the answer to my question. I sit quietly and wait for him to answer.
