Chapter 34. Hur
My chest rises and falls heavily, mirroring the current erratic state of my emotions as the creaking sound grows louder, a testament to the proximity of the possible threat. What bothers me the most is the fact that I have no weapon to protect myself or Tamarh.
My eyes quickly dart from angle to angle in search of ch her. Then I see her tethering closer to the edge of the boat, squinting her eyes and stretching her neck in an attempt to see through the fog.
“Hey, move away from there!” I voice out a warning, but as usual, she doesn’t listen. “Tamarh, please come close to me,” I insist.
