“Good job, guys!” Doc Ken clapped as we exited the operating room while we were removing and disposing of our surgical gowns, gloves, and masks in the gowning area.

After disposing of mine, I immediately went to the locker where I had left my phone and saw the time—it was exactly 9 PM. I also noticed a notification reminding me that in one hour, I would be meeting with Lee, Paige, and Sarah.

Oh, right! Tonight was Paige’s birthday celebration!

I was really becoming forgetful. If I didn’t set reminders on my phone, I would likely forget about our plans today because of how busy and demanding things were at the hospital. If that happened, I’m sure the three of them (yes, not just Paige) would be upset with me, given how rarely we all get to meet up, and I wouldn’t want to miss this.
