Chapter 104. Life of a Parkertown Nurse

“Nurse Ash, please check Mr. Ji’s IV. His daughter said there seems to be some blood near his wrist…” instructed Dr. Kenneth as he exited Mr. Ji’s room. He was currently doing his morning rounds, carrying patient charts.
“Okay, doc…” I replied promptly, following his orders while he moved to the next room to check on another patient.
Mr. Ji had been confined here for almost three weeks. He was a 60-year-old half-paralyzed patient. He could move the upper part of his body, but not the lower part. He became paralyzed due to an accident that happened to him three weeks ago—his car collided with a large truck and then hit a post. Unfortunately, he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, so he was thrown out of his car.
“Sorry, Nurse Ash, he’s been a bit fussy again,” apologized Lily, Mr. Ji’s daughter, who was probably in her mid-20s. “His wrist was itchy earlier, so he scratched it wrong and it started bleeding…” she explained.
