Chapter 111. Restless Mind

My mind had been restless for hours already.
My mind had been unable to stop replaying what my eyes had witnessed earlier. I had been constantly refreshing my phone, especially the TVDen News page, because if Tate’s camp released a statement about his situation, it would undoubtedly be there first and exclusively.
As I kept on refreshing, I also kept on praying in my mind that the patient we saw earlier wasn’t Tate. It’s not that I was wishing something bad to happen to Kade… but… but I really hope and wish that that patient wasn’t Tate.
As I did that, I couldn’t help but wonder if fate had purposely given me time to overthink, because today had been my least eventful duty hours. Not that I wished for patients needing my help, but I had nothing to do to distract myself and stop my mind from incessantly overthinking!
Feeling the need to talk to someone, I decided to pretend I needed to use the restroom. I quickly headed to the nearest bathro
