“You two are such fools…” Sarah clicked her tongue in frustration, scratching her head as she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. Her burger was slathered with ketchup—exactly how she liked it. Sarah had this habit of separating the bun from the patty just to ensure every bite was drenched in ketchup. She looked up at me, raising an eyebrow as she spoke. “Why don’t you just fix your issue already? It’s obvious you’re both miserable without each other.”
“Lee’s the only fool here,” I shot back, rolling my eyes. “Remember what I’ve told you two before?” I raised both my eyebrows at Sarah and Paige, emphasizing my point. “I don’t have a problem with her. She’s the one who has a problem with me… while me… I don’t have any issues with her.” I even let out a forced laugh to make my point clear.
