Chapter 433. You Don’t Have a Choice

After Asher’s shift ended exactly at 5 PM, he immediately called our group chat with Paige and Sarah. Without hesitation, he broke the bad news—well, bad for him—that Tate and Gracie were now officially together.
And so, as expected, Asher, now the heartbroken one, suggested we all go out for drinks. Of course, we didn’t want to disappoint him, so even though it was a Sunday, we said yes. Paige and Sarah were in, too. Paige mentioned she would arrive by 7 PM, while Sarah said she wasn’t sure what time she would get there, but she would come as soon as she finished whatever she had going on (which she didn’t elaborate on).
I was a little worried about getting drunk myself, so I silently promised to pace my drinking later. I had to leave early for Milan in the morning, and with Monday being a workday, getting too drunk was not an option. I couldn’t afford to wake up hungover.
