Chapter 90. Messed Up

While Zac and the crying woman, who seemed almost perfect with her poreless skin and natural beauty that I wished I had, hugged each other, I carefully but quickly grabbed my phone and camera from Zac’s duffel bag slung over his shoulder, and then I ran away from them.
The woman was crying loudly while hugging Zac, so even though I had already put some distance between us by running as fast as I could, I could still hear her sobs and wails.
I wasn’t sure if I was just affected by her crying or if I was truly feeling the sting of betrayal.
My eyes started to get blurry as I ran away from them. I quickly wiped my eyes and took out my phone to message our friends’ group chat. I didn’t know exactly where Paige and Sarah were since they weren’t there when Zac and I had grabbed our stuff from the treehouse earlier, but I was sure that once they saw my message, they would come to my rescue.
