Chapter 108

John was transported to the hospital by a diligent taxi driver, and news of the accident quickly spread. Meanwhile, his friends happened to be tuning into the television, completely unaware of what had just occurred. As fate would have it, they caught sight of the accident on the news and recognized the license plate number of the car involved. Instantly, they sprang into action, embarking on a frantic search for John and Yana at every hospital in Manila.

After their tireless efforts, they eventually located the hospital where John was being treated. However, to their dismay, they discovered that Yana was not there. Desperate for answers, they began to inquire with the doctors, nurses, and other individuals about the mysterious girl who had accompanied John. Unfortunately, every person they approached provided the same disheartening response, "He wasn’t with anybody."

Anxiety began to overshadow their thoughts, although they tried their best to remain composed.
