Ignoring John’s question, Ray addressed the officers, signaling for them to leave. "Thank you for notifying us, officers. You may go now," he said dismissively.
As the policemen left, a heavy tension enveloped the room. It became evident that none of them had informed John about the fact that he had been in a coma.
Struggling to process the information he had just received, John stammered, "Man... w-what... h-how... w-why...?" He could not even complete his sentence before his emotions overwhelmed him.
