Chapter 19
The trip to the interior store Dorothea had recommended was now in silence after such an unimaginable scene. Clearly, Kendra wasn’t thinking straight about how she could have done that to her mom’s fiance, and she had kissed him.
Looking beside her, she stared at Henry, who was quietly driving. What could he even be thinking at that point? She couldn’t fathom the thoughts spiraling through her mind. For a few seconds, when she kissed him, she had completely forgotten what she had to lose.
“Arghh!” she grunted quietly and made sure Henry didn’t hear her. Moreover, besides all the wrong reasons why she shouldn’t have kissed him, one thing was certain: the kiss was electrifying; she still had butterflies dancing in her stomach, if that were even possible. When she kisses Gregory, nothing like this ever happens.
