Chapter 18

Mr Smith was shocked by what he heard. He never expected to hear this from Victoria. Victoria was best friends with Elizabeth, his friend.

"Wow!" He said, almost speechless.

"Yes." She spoke.

"I am shocked." He tells her truthfully. They were best friends and he was just finding out but what bothered him were the questions Victoria asked him and why she was asking him.

"Okay. I understand, she is your best friend and so what happened? I want to hear it all." He demanded as he leaned I to his chair, preparing for her answer.

"The truth is something huge happened yesterday and now I am worried. I am not happy and it's taking a toil on me. I found out that..." She trailed off as she contemplated if it was okay to tell him of her friend's feelings for him.

Since he didn't know, she worried that if she told him without Elizabeth's permission, it might actually do more harm than good.
