Lance bit his lip and slowly lowered his gaze, pocketing his phone once again.

“She’s...”

Lance then remembered how Rosalie had asked him not to disturb his grandfather with this matter and ended up shaking his head and shrugging his shoulders, deciding to keep the truth to himself.

“Nothing, I was just wondering, you know? Who you were friends with back then, right? You know, to pass the time.” Lance told his grandfather and this time around he did manage to catch the look of suspicion that appeared in the older male’s face, however, it disappeared just as fast as it appeared, giving the younger boy the impression that he was imagining things.

“Ah, I understand.” Frank answered, finally breaking the silence. “But since you and Roxanne are now dating, wouldn’t it be a great time to invite her grandparents over? Have them come to my welcoming party, what do you say?”

“Uh,” Lance hesitated. “I’d have to speak with Roxanne concerning that.”
