Chapter 64. She’s Leaving

Lance’s time spent at the pharmacy was rather short and he stepped through the front door of his penthouse, mind consumed with thoughts of all that has happened in the previous days and more importantly how he was going to deal with his stepbrother.

He was hardly expecting to find anything out of the ordinary upon his return. But as he entered the living room, his eyes fell upon the sight that instantly stole his attention, soured his already rotten mood and sent a jolt of irritation through his veins all at the same time.

Roxanne stood near the doorway, a determined look on her face as she packed her belongings, the exact ones he had bought and gotten for her during her stay with at his house just recent, into a small suitcase.

She hadn’t seemed to notice him yet, and as he crept closer, eyes glued on her back figure, Lance felt his heart skip a beat, his confus
