Chapter 66. Returning Home

Earlier that day when Roxanne left Lance’s penthouse. She was dropped off by the cab she called, however, the moment she approached her house, Colton was standing right in front of her house, hands stuffed into his pocket.

The sound of her moment from behind made him turn around. His eyes lit up with an emotion she couldn’t understand, but the next thing she knew, Colton had wrapped his arms around her.

Roxanne stiffened up at first, but slowly, she melted into his hug. The two remained in their bond for seconds, even minutes longer, silently appreciating the warmth of one another.

After a while, Colton sighed out loudly and snuggled closer to her.

“Thank god you’re safe.” She could hear the relief and joy in Colton’s voice.
