Chapter 104. Scent Provoking

Garrett’s POV

I had been working a lot through the night while trying to keep myself from going to stay with Jace. He was not the problem but the fact that I was hoping to keep everyone at bay. It felt like there were eyes watching now that they had me speak to him to see what I would do next but then, I realised that none of them had yet to ask me what I had discovered. Not even Harold himself that usually would want to know and see how he reports back to my dad. Well, I did not care as I remained in my bedroom when I started hearing the doors upstairs and then footsteps downstairs. I might have worried that someone was going to see Jace but it went downstairs and I realised that it was not just one person.

There were two and I relaxed. I would have to get through the night and see what I can figure out about the machine at this point. So, I stayed up working.
