Garrett’s POV

I knew the tension in the home was a lot but then, I too was getting tensed up. When I woke up and saw Damon speaking to Jace, I was really worried. I did not want anyone hovering around the boy right now as he was still processing. That was why when I had heard Damon speaking to him, I quickly rose up and started going there to check and see what it was that he was speaking to him about.

Damon did not want me to know and I only asked Jace if he was okay and he nodded. He still had that look in his eyes from the secret I had shared with him last night but then, what was really exciting was the fact that he trusted me enough to give me what I wanted. I had been expecting that they would all ask me at that time what my finding was but everyone seemed rather invested in other things and Damon was already preparing to go away.
