Lucian’s POV

My phone was bustling with phone calls and texts,

most of them from my father, the rest were from inner cabinet members. I knew what it was about; Cassian, he is definitely dead already, his body has already probably been found right there on his hospital bed, pale, stiff and dead. The hospital has probably dissolved into a raucous with everyone running around trying to figure out what to do, how to placate the grieving Alpha and save themselves from the deadly punishment that Caden will be dishing out.

I am sure everything is unraveling, I am sure everyone is running around confused and perplexed not knowing how to remedy the situation, unsure of how to manage father and the crazy crash out that he is most likely having. I am sure the Cabinet members are only calling me so that I can be the scapegoat, the one who takes all of my father’s insults and harsh words, the one who bears all the punishment.
